TMK Participated in the World Petroleum Congress

TMK, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pipe for the oil and gas industry, participated in the 21st World Petroleum Congress (WPC) held in Moscow on June 15-19, 2014.

Concurrent with the Congress, the Crocus Expo Centre hosted the WPC Exhibition, where the world's largest oil and gas companies, as well as oil and energy ministries from various countries showcased their latest products and technology.

Acting as the Gold Sponsor of the 21st World Petroleum Congress, TMK took an active part in the forum. The Company's executives and experts participated in the WPC discussions, round tables and presentations. TMK's exhibition stand showcased samples of the Company's state-of-art technology, such as  proprietary TMK UP premium connections, stainless pipe, large diameter pipe and vacuum insulated tubing (VIT). The Company also contributed with a wide range of product catalogues and video presentations. Among many visitors to TMK's exhibition stand were Alexander Novak, Russia's Energy Minister and Renato Bertani, the WPC President.

Dmitry Pumpyanskiy, Chairman of TMK's Board of Directors, delivered an opening address stressing the importance of the event for the global oil and gas industry and highlighting the role TMK plays in this industry. Mr Pumpyanskiy also wished the participants success, impressive presentations and fruitful negotiations. 

This year, the petroleum congress was attended by over 5,000 delegates from more than 60 countries, including top managers from Russian and international oil and gas companies, politicians, scientists and experts in the oil and gas industry. 

The WPC was established in 1933 by the World Petroleum Council. Today, it is the world's premier oil and gas forum of unmatched scale and status. The Congress is held every three years and has grown to become a global meeting platform for the oil and gas industry players.
