TMK ships new high-tech products to EU

TMK’s Pervouralsk Pipe Plant shipped new high-tech tubular products to EU customers for use in the mechanical engineering, hydraulics, automotive and railcar industries. Seamless cold-deformed steel pipes are produced to EN 10305-1.

A new type of high-precision pipes with a minimal OD and ID tolerance of +/–0.08 mm offers excellent surface quality, wide range of sizes, and guaranteed mechanical and process properties. To produce these pipes, PNTZ adjusted its pipe production technology as well as technology for drawing equipment selection and manufacture. The plant also improved the technology used to apply anti-corrosion coating, protecting pipe surface against corrosion during transportation and storage. PNTZ plans to produce up to 200 tonnes of such pipe per year.

 “We keep expanding our offering for our clients, including to improve our position on international markets. Production of a new type of high-precision pipes will allow the Company to expand its geography of supply to Europe. The first batches of the new products totaling 30 tonnes have already been shipped to German, Austrian and Dutch companies,” noted Denis Prikhodko, Director of Sales.
