ТМК has finalized pre-registration on REACH

TMK, one of the leading world’s oil and gas pipe producers has finalized pre-registration of chemical substances in accordance with the requirements of the European Union (EU) Regulation №1907/2006 (REACH).

Pursuant to the Regulation TMK has assigned its Sole Representative on REACH – ТМК-ARTROM, Romanian company based on the territory of EU. ТМК-ARTROM represents the Company’s interest at European Chemical Agency (ECHA). The list of substances entering in composition of the TMK’s products has been presented to ECHA. A unique identification number confirming pre-registration has been assigned to each substance. 

Five TMK’s companies including Taganrog Metallurgical Works, Volzhsky and Sinarsky Pipe Plants, Seversky Tube Works and Orsky Machine Building Plant have received Certificates.

Meeting REACH requirements is one of the supplementary instruments to ensure high quality of products and a mandatory requirement for shipping goods to the EU market.

Currently the Company continues to further interact with ECHA on REACH. In particular TMK has started preparatory works for the next REACH stage – final registration that will take place in 2010–2018 based on type and volume of shipments.
