TMK marked Steel Safety Day through a series of initiatives held across all of its divisions. Steel Safety Day has been held annually since 2014, when the World Steel Association launched the event to be aligned with World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28.
In the run-up to Steel Safety Day, comprehensive labour safety and health protection assessments were run at all of TMK divisions. Based on these results, reports were written and management meetings were held to improve industrial safety measures and further minimize safety hazards.
On Steel Safety Day, the Company's top-managers, including the CEO of TMK, Alexander Shiryaev, took part in events held across TMK’s plants. After visiting the production facilities, senior TMK managers participated in workshops with the Company’s employees and discussed the assessment results and further plans to improve labour safety and health protection.
TMK, a world leader in steel pipe production volumes, adheres to the highest standards of labour protection and industrial safety. The Company has an efficient system in place to monitor and implement its corporate labour protection and industrial safety policy. All of TMK’s plants comply with OHSAS 18001 standards.
