ТМК took part in 20-th Latin American Petroleum Show

TMK participated in the 20th Latin American Petroleum Show 2009 (LAPS 2009) which took place from October 13 through October 15 2009, in Maracaibo, Venezuela’s oil capital. For two decades, the exhibition has been a key event in the region, hosting leading oil-and-gas operators and pipe companies from all over the world.

More than 800 companies from 30 countries attended the 20th anniversary of the exhibition, such as leading global services companies Sсhlumberger, Halliburton and Statoil Hydro. The Russian Federation was represented by the Energy Ministry, the National Oil Consortium and the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. The exhibition was visited by about 20,000 industry experts.

The Venezuelan pipe market has a very large potential as the country currently holds the 5th largest confirmed oil reserves in the world. In 2009, a number of strategic agreements on energy were established between Russia and Venezuela. This was mirrored through the attention which exhibition visitors paid to the TMK booth at LAPS 2009. ТМК representatives introduced visitors and participants to the Company’s pipe range and the newest developments in terms of oil and gas extraction and transportation.
