TMK presents integrated energy transition solutions at the Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century forum

TMK took part in the 20th anniversary Moscow International Energy Forum Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century, where the Company presented integrated solutions to support energy transition and discussed its potential involvement in projects to capture, transport and store CO2.

Within the forum’s business program, Konstantin Belyaev, TMK’s Deputy Director for Technical Sales of Pipe for Infrastructure Facilities, spoke about the Company’s projects and capabilities related to hydrogen energy development and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) projects.

Konstantin Belyaev said: “To meet the needs of the new emerging industry, business and government need to create a national regulatory and technical framework for hydrogen energy and CCUS technologies, develop test methods and build own testing sites to run integrated testing of full-scale samples of equipment made in Russia. We are talking about products used in hydrogen distribution, transportation and storage, as well as carbon capture, utilization, transportation and storage.”

He noted that TMK is now in the final stages of testing a new range of pipes for hydrogen transportation at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU).

In addition to participating in the business program, TMK set up its display in the forum’s lobby, featuring information about the pipe and tubular products manufactured by the Company and related services for the fuel and energy complex. At the event, TMK representatives shared with forum participants and guests insights about the specifics of using TMK’s high-tech solutions and presented promising new products for the energy industry.

The Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century forum annually brings together leading industry experts to discuss matters relevant for the domestic fuel and energy complex and the enforcement of applicable laws across the energy sector and related industries, to review climate-related commitments of oil and gas majors, and to explore risks and opportunities presented by decarbonization of the oil and gas industry.
