TMK Ships LD pipe for NOVATEK’s Yurkharovskoye Field

TMK, one of the world’s leading producers of tubular products for the oil and gas industry, has supplied large diameter pipe (LD pipe) for the compressor station at Yurkharovskoye field. 

The supply included 1,800 tonnes of 1,020 and 1,220 mm K60-grade longitudinal welded LD pipes manufactured at the Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a TMK subsidiary. These LD pipes are used for gas pipelines operating at 11.8 MPa.

TMK has already made several shipments of premium tubing and casing pipe for NOVATEK's Yurkharovskoye field, with TMK's engineers supervising the running of these pipes into the wells. In particular, TMK's pipe was used in vertical and horizontal drilling (starting onshore and going under the bed of the Kara sea). This was the first ever LD pipe batch shipped to NOVATEK.
