TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry LLC receives a 52 KM Line pipe order from Daleel Petroleum

The Sultanate’s leading pipe manufacturer, TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry (TMK GIPI) LLC, part of global pipe manufacturer TMK, was recently awarded the contract to supply API 5L X52 (Sour service) line pipe with 3LPE coating for Daleel Petroleum LLC. The total load will be around 4,5 kt.

3LPE coating system is a multi-layer coating structure composed of three coating materials of fusion bonded epoxy (FBE), copolymer adhesive and PE or PP top coats for steel pipe anti-corrosion. With years' of experience and expertise in 3LPE pipes and anti-corrosion coating materials, TMK GIPI has established itself as a leading level technology player in the Sultanate and been well recognized for its remarkable performance in oil & gas pipeline corrosion-resistant field.

TMK GIPI is the only manufacturer of 6" to 24" Diameter high pressure Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) Steel Pipes in Oman and will commence delivery of this order from October 2016. The pipes supplied by GIPI are 18 meters in length. The extended length of 18 meters pipe, rather than a standard length of 12 meters, significantly reduces the end user's construction costs by over 30% on welding, NDT and other associated costs, as well as substantial improvements in the speed of project execution. Additionally, a local manufacturer brings other synergies to the customer on just in time delivery, less handling and related logistical challenges, as well as providing a cushion against any damaged products, which can be immediately replaced.
